fishing piers, the ocean smell, clouds over the pamlico sound, shrimp boats working
....this is what turns me on.
my first passion is plein air painting because i love being outside and enjoying my
home of choice, washington n c on the banks of the pamlico river.
my medium of choice is oil on canvas and my subjects are everything that is around me.
i have many paintings in private collections and have won my share of awards/ribbons.
if i never sold another painting or never received another award i would still paint
everyday...there is something about the process that makes me go to the studio.
i guess i was put on this earth to paint.
as in any journey, it is a learning experence. my teachers have been many and there are
many artists that have influenced my work such as richard schmidt, jeremy lipking,
jeffrey watts and someday i would like to take a workshop from them.
i hope you enjoy my paintings.
